The 5 Ways to Wellbeing

While there are many descriptions of wellbeing, the fact that it is important to all people is irrefutable. Wellbeing has many components, including mental, psychological, social, emotional and spiritual.

The 5 Ways to Wellbeing Laneway

The 5 Ways to Wellbeing Laneway in Cessnock, with Connect and Be Active painted on red, blue and green brick walls above a brightly painted path

The 5 Ways to Wellbeing Laneway is a vibrant community space designed to improve connections between the Cessnock CBD and nearby parking, while creating a laneway that feels welcoming, engaging and safe.

Inspired by the colourful laneways of Melbourne - but with a distinctly local Cessnock twist - the laneway brings art, community and wellbeing together in the heart of our CBD.

Created with the support of local schools, artists and community members, the project celebrates the 5 Ways to Wellbeing - Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give - encouraging locals and visitors alike to pause, explore and enjoy the space.

More than just a walkway, the 5 Ways to Wellbeing Laneway is an example of what can be achieved through collaboration, creativity and a shared commitment to making our CBD a more vibrant and connected place.
