Our History
The Cessnock Chamber of Commerce was formed in the mid-1900s to give like-minded business people a place to come together and do business. Over time the role of the chamber evolved, and today it delivers projects that support the wider business community. In 2021 it was renamed the Cessnock Business Chamber to better reflect our aim of supporting local businesses.
What We Do
The Cessnock Business Chamber works across all sectors, facilitating relationships so that businesses can collaborate and create opportunities for themselves, their partners and their clients.
We are led by a volunteer board who work on projects to enhance opportunities and connectivity across Cessnock and the surrounding areas. The main board is made up of 10 members who deliver our core priorities and also volunteer their time to working sub-groups focused on special projects, meeting weekly and monthly to support local businesses.
As a business chamber, we provide support to the business community and deliver projects that drive the economy, growth and sustainability within the Cessnock Local Government Area.
