Customer Service Awards

The Customer Service Awards are run each year to recognise, showcase and reward exceptional customer service within the Cessnock Local Government Area. It provides an opportunity for community focus over a period culminating in a function to celebrate customer service excellence.

This project also helps to develop networking opportunities with local businesses, the Chamber, and the community in general.

We are looking forward to the Gala Dinner being held on the 10th December 2021 at Cessnock Leagues Club. A night to celebrate the achievements of all locals offering exceptional customer service.

Monthly Chamber Awards are awarded each month with the winners becoming finalists in the Chamber Choice Award at the yearly event.

Donna Howson from Cessnock City Council was the Cessnock Business Chamber’s April Customer Service Award winner. Donna was nominated for service above and beyond when she helped a local resident who was dealing with an estate issue. Donna’s caring nature saw her locate the keys to a bin on Vincent Street to retrieve a document that had been accidentally dropped into the bin on Vincent Street.

A big CONGRATULATIONS to Michael Treloar from Leading Edge who was awarded May’s Customer Service Award. “I recently had cause to call on this business when having problems with my home computer. Within the same day he had located the problem and I was up and running without any serious delay. I am nominating him because it is so good, we have locally based professionals to call on and that we shop locally. He was excellent in the way he explained the problem and how it could be solved. No need to go outside when we can gain such wonderful service by shopping locally…  “

“Toni is a very conscientious and smart working lady. Recently, she facilitated the sale of my property in Cessnock, and I found her to be very knowledgeable, open, honest, ethical, and transparent in my dealings with her.
She hand-held me through the process and kept me appraised on the progress on a regular basis. I was very impressed with her demeanour and performance.
I genuinely feel that Toni went over and beyond in getting a good outcome for me.”
