Cessnock Customer Service Awards
When was the last time you experienced great customer service in Cessnock? It is difficult to forget a bad experience and all too often we are quick to inform the world of our experience. Now, however is the time to recognise those people and businesses, who go the extra mile and offer that something special. – Great Customer Service.
The Cessnock Customer Service Awards will return in 2015 offering a wonderful opportunity to showcase and recognise those in our community who excel in customer service.
‘If you have had a positive customer service experience over the last 12 months, now is the time to acknowledge this and return the favour” says Cessnock Chamber of Commerce President, Mr Geoff Walker. “Whether it be at your local retailer, accountant, solicitor, doctor or wine country business, I’m sure we have all had a great experience that we would like to applaud and share with others.’ Geoff continued.
The Awards recognise excellence across eight categories this year: Apprentice/Trainee, Hospitality, Retail, Trade, Professional, Not for Profit, Social Media & business owner.
Auspiced by the Sustainable Cessnock Committee and the Cessnock Chamber of Commerce, a panel of independent local experts will judge the awards. First prize and a runner up award will be given in each category. The awards will be presented at a special Awards dinner at the Cessnock Leagues Club in August, 2015.
Nomination forms for the 2015 Cessnock Customer Service Awards will be available at all participating Cessnock businesses in April 2015 or nominations can easily be made on line at www.cessnockcustomerserviceawards.com.au after the 31st March.
“The awards connect the business community with their customers” said Geoff Walker. “In a region like Cessnock with high tourism assets, excellent customer service is essential”, Geoff continued. “This is the only award in the Hunter that rewards staff excellence and with over 600 nominations last year, our annual event is in a strong position to continue to grow and lead the Hunter. Look for a poster and a nomination form at your local business” said Geoff. “Nominate someone who you think deserves recognition for outstanding customer service and you could win $100 in Cessnock Dollars” Said Geoff.
